Beatrice's convertible wedding dress, 2016

photos by Megan Boslem

Beatrice set me the challenge of designing a convertible wedding dress that could have a long straight skirt for the cathedral ceremony, and a 50s style short full skirt for the reception.

We achieved this by designing a tea length dress with a removable long skirt. After the ceremony, Beatrice removed the long skirt and added a petticoat underneath the shorter skirt.

I also made a veil for Beatrice with a hand stitched scalloped lace edge.

The bridesmaid’s dresses, flower girl dress and page boy’s bow tie were also from Bell Street.
