I made this dress to show off a beautiful antique piece of handmade lace. The lace was originally in the form of a long trim (as used at the front of the dress), and was very yellow and damaged. I carefully cleaned and restored the lace, repairing any damage by hand and piecing it together to form the large feature piece at the back of the dress.
This dress has been used on display at a bridal fair and for a couple of photo shoots, so the dress itself is showing some signs of wear. If you are interested in something similar, I would be happy to remove the lace from this dress and use it on a new one. Likewise, if you have a piece of vintage lace that you'd like to use in your wedding dress, I can restore it and design something for you. Just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you have in mind!
